The Giraffe Shed's Mother Flippin' Launch

WE DID IT! We launched our alternative wedding venue, like officially. People came and EVERYTHING.

We chose May the 4th, mainly so that our force would be strong, and it seemed to work.

We have been building our wedding venue for nearly 2 years now on our farm in Mid Wales and if we’re totally honest….. it’s been, well……..A FUCKING BLAST!!

The week leading up to the launch was pretty insane but we got there, (ok we ran out of time to put a handle on the door to the toilets - but watching people trying to claw their way in was pretty funny).

We didn’t want to have a traditional wedding fair - we just wanted to open our doors, give you a drink (and hugs) and show you what can be done here at our totally unique DIY wedding venue.

We need to say a MASSIVE big up to all of the wedding suppliers that came to help us out with our vision.

In no particular order…..

Sams Sweet Treats for making us the most awesome cake. When Sam asked if she could do a concrete inspired cake, well you can imagine how all over that we were. We love Sam - a lot.

Butler & White came and styled one of our tables. I have stalked these guys and their insanely beautiful work since beginning this build and was totally thrilled when they said they could help us out at the launch….. dreams being made right here people! Go Botanica created stunning florals.

Nats Paper Studio + Knock Knock Penny Studio sent us stationary too to add to the table and dot about the venue, making it all kinds of pretty.

Blank Canvas Tents & Events pitched a bell tent next to our lake which we really didn’t want them to take away - thankfully they are coming back for our first wedding to pitch some more goodness. Paul was an absolute legend on launch day - he filled our beer bath, put out our drinks and gave hugs whenever they were needed. WE LOVE YOU.

Fifi Boutique Bespoke came and installed the most beautiful flower arch for guests to swoon over and take selfies in - we also kinda wanted to steal that too!

The Vintage House that Could Katie and I have been messaging for a while - I knew I wanted her to contribute to the launch and was certain she would arrive with something out of this world, and fuck me! Her floral installation hung over the grazing table, and her styling continued all of the way down to the floor - massive heart eyes!

The Grazing table OF DREAMS was created by Honey to the Brie. Now, 1) how do you make a table of meats and cheese look SO amazing in the first place? and 2) How does it still look amazing after over 100 people have eaten from it? I don’t know how she does it! We cannot wait to have Kiley back here creating magic for a wedding this summer! The foliage + florals were by Urban Flower Studio.

You know when you meet people and you just instantly click? Thats what happened with The Cheshire Dining Experience as soon as we met with them, we KNEW we wanted to work with them. As well as being top drawer humans their food is incredible. They are the absolute queens of creating your bespoke personal menus - you need to check them out.

Our goodie bags were supplied, designed + printed by Flood Print with goodies inside from Kook Events, Rock the Day Styling, Relish and Lisa Webb Photography

Posh loos we’re also on site provided by Powys Luxury Loos

Take a look at the magic that we all created below.

These images were taking by Elena Popa who covered the launch from every angle for us. It was Elena’s second visit to our shed and cannot wait to welcome her back lots in the future.
